Through the extensive marketing and social media campaigns we ran during the entry stage July to October, entrants in 2020 benefited from exposure to over 26,000 viewers to the Awards website and a reach of over 11,900 Twitter and Facebook followers/likes, with entrants being mentioned on Social Media as they submitted their entries.
For 2021 we're looking to help promote worthy retailers through our Social Media channels, website and email campaigns to help put them on the map.
We will add our shortlisted entries to our website in early January and promote this through our Social Media and email campaigns.
Following the winners announcement on Monday 5th July 2021, we will display all regional winners on our website and promote this through Social Media, email and PR campaigns.

“Nigel and the Awards do so much for local producers and retailers like ourselves. They really raise awareness and help us greatly with our marketing and getting our history and story across. It’s great when your suppliers are talking to you and congratulating you on your win, and they respect the awards. There are many awards but not many with the prestige of Farm Shop & Deli Awards and the Show. This is a massive deal and good for a small family run business like ours.”
James Cunningham, Managing Director, Cunningham Butchers, Northern Ireland winner 2019
"Even if you don’t win, the fact that you will be judged by your peers in the industry will help you improve your own business. If you win then you are going to get an amazing uplift in trade and recognition from suppliers who you didn’t know of before will be beating a path to your door to bring you more exciting things for you to sell.”
Michael Baker, Managing Director, Bakers and Larners of Holt - Food Hall of the Year and East Anglia regional 2019
“The awards themselves are fantastic in respect of each individual store to put their case across and be voted for by their customers. Because it's a joint award with customers and entries, it’s a true award and one of the best in the industry.”
Andreas Georghiou, Owner, Andreas of Chelsea Green – Greengrocer of the Year 2019
“We decided to enter the awards as they’re a well recognised competition and the credibility that comes with winning can have a great impact – I can’t wait to go and wave the flag and show our customers what we have won.”
Emma and Rupert Evans, Denstone Farm Shop, 2018 Farm Shop Large Retailer and Midlands regional winners.
“It feels wonderful. I can’t tell you what a difference it has made to our business. The publicity with TV, local radio, newspapers and the well wishes from our customers. Wonderful for the business, wonderful for the town and just great for the team!”
Andrew Rafter, Rafters of Driffied, 2018 Greengrocer of the Year
“I would absolutely recommend entering these awards. It’s really great coverage for small independent businesses. You get to meet a lot of people and network as well.”
Lucinda Hardman and Jen Hey, Farmison & Co, 2018 Online Business of the Year and North East winners
