Entry Deadline Extended by Popular Demand: Friday 12 September 2014

The Farm Shop & Deli Awards in partnership with Olives Et Al have extended their entry deadline to 5pm Friday 12th September 2014 due to the popularity of the Awards this year.

With entries being accepted daily and hundreds of consumer votes already received the deadline has been extended to give additional time for retailers who have had a busy summer period to submit their entries.

The Awards are designed for retailers to generate local and national publicity for their businesses - to get people talking and to boost footfall and sales.

Now in its second year, the Farm Shop & Deli Awards recognise the very best standards in the UK’s independent, speciality retail market. With an expert panel of judges joining Nigel Barden Chair of Judges, the Awards will celebrate the highest levels of service, product knowledge, initiative, innovation and community involvement, offered by our heroes of the high-street.

The Awards developed from Founding Partner Olives Et Al’s Deli of the Year, saw nearly 300 entries in 2014, doubling the amount from previous year.

The Farm Shop & Deli Awards are free to enter.

History of the Awards

In 2006, Olives Et Al created a special event to support independent food retailers by recognising and shouting about the wealth of talent out there called Purple Love Awards. A few years later, Deli of the Year was born, where people voted for their favourite delis in their thousands.

In 2014, through a special collaboration with William Reed, Olives Et Al are now very proud founding partners of the Farm Shop & Deli Awards, in its second year – crowning Ardross Farm shop, Fife Farm Shop & Deli Awards Retailer of the year.

Our partner Olives Et Al

Ever since 1992, the team at Olives Et Al have been travelling the world looking for unique and distinct flavours and then recreating them using traditional methods and techniques that they’ve learnt mostly at first hand from people they’ve met along the way.  Using proper ingredients sourced from decent suppliers, everything is created, sourced or supplied by Oliveers from their site in Dorset and are more or less just as nature intended; free of any artificial colourings, flavours or preservatives and suitable for most diets, styles and cultures.
