1. How did you feel when you found out you had won?
We were delighted to be recognised as best in class for our online business. It means the world to us, it has really boosted our team’s morale to keep growing whilst offering excellence.
2. Why did you enter?
As a specialist food business this award truly recognises operators within this market sector across a broad range of food and drink. This perfectly aligns with our business vision.
3. How has winning helped your business?
For our customers to see the accreditation of this award on our website truly helps to reassure new and existing customers, alleviating any concerns they may have about ordering fresh heritage breed meat online. Our sales have noticeably increased since obtaining this award.
4. How does Awards like FSD help the industry as a whole?
The awards bring businesses together to share insight in operating within the specialist food sector and best practise. It’s great to be recognised alongside other excellent businesses.
5. How do you create a winning entry?
Be honest, highlight all things that you do which are unique to you, share ideas which others in the category may benefit from and detail your trading performance which hopefully shows solid growth.
6. How did you get people to vote for you?
We encouraged our vast database of loyal foodies to take five minutes to vote and create as much awareness as we possibly could.
7. How have your customers reacted to you winning the award?
On the same day we received the award, we wrote to all our customers to notify them. The immediate feedback from many of our customers was hugely positive and the feeling was that it was well deserved. They were delighted that we had received such recognition for quality and service which we strive to provide.
8. What advice would you give to those considering entering the awards?
Go for it! The entry is relatively straightforward, encourages you to think hard about your business and if you’re lucky enough to be successful and win, the value it adds to your business is well worth this initial effort.
